The Internet is playing up again –

xThe Internet is playing up again –

Dependent upon where you live the above is a phrase which you may here with of alarming regularity – for we urban townies (in fact most of the UK) our complaint is about speed rather than availability but for those less fortunate rural dwellers – availability is the issue.

If we are to believe a certain currently popular TV advertisement over 4 billion people worldwide still do not have any form of access to the internet – but it may all be about to change in the non to distant future if a current aticle by GFD’s favourite Science Reporter is correct.

we love Rory Cellan Jones articles –

His latest article “Facebook drones made in Britain” could be a reference to one of the first steps along the way to bringing all those “internet lost souls back to the fold” as Rory describes in his article “Facebook” -yes “Facebook” as a part of their Project Aquila are currently developing drones like this one

-which have a wing span equivalent to a Boing 737 but weigh less than a third of the weight of a family car and can fly at 60,000- 90,000 feet and beam the internet down to the ground below and the good news is that they are being manufactured right here in the UK in Bridgewater.

The aircraft are powered by solar power and it is estimated that they will be able to stay airborne for up to 3 months providing an internet service to the remotest of areas in the manner described in the sketch below

Here at GFD Group we take a keen interest in developing technology and when it comes to keeping us up to date with worldwide developments Rory is up the best we have already featured him many times with articles such as “the circles Rory moves in” featuring the Tesla car.

We have to admit that when it comes to expanding the internet as an “online” retailer of composite doors windows and accessories through our various companies Timber Composite Doors, Global Door, Fusion Door, Composite Door Prices and for windows Global Sash Windows or if it’s just accessories your after Eurosecure or for trade customers The Trade Village – the internet at every level is our life blood – so far in our nine years of trading we have established a significant presence in the UK, dabbled in Europe – but the rest of the world – we can all dream.

If you are currently dreaming of a new front door you could do a lot worse than taking a look at any of our web sites we pride ourselves upon the time we take to select the correct products for our customers and we back these products with our own excellent customer service and installation services – we can even sort out the right financial package should that be your choice.

We even ensure all of our doors (wherever possible) carry the upgrades others charge as extras – as standard – the latest of which is the market leading new Ultion lock – we have included a link to our Eurosecure web site page which describes its benefits in detail.

Our Timber Composite Doors web site provides you with a “door designer” (as do all of our web sites) which allows you to choose from 136 variations of door alone before we consider the choice of 20 colours which are available for the exterior and interior of the door and then we have a huge range of glazing and hardware accessories – that’s a whole lot of options so we are pretty sure that all of our customers can design doors that are the ultimate in personalised style to suit their property.

Rory is our inspiration so why not let Timber Composite Doors be your inspiration when it comes to choosing a new front door.
