No “Cheat Code” here

Another day and another scandal, the VW test rigging “cheat code” software has certainly created shockwaves throughout the motor industry and today the 28th Sept Audi who are also part of the VW Group have announced that they have a potential 2.1 million cars which are impacted by the “Cheat Code”. As both Porsche and Skoda fall under the VW banner can we anticipate similar announcements from them and what of Bentley, Bugatti, Lamborghini and SEAT who are also part of the group and will this scandal also impact their commercial vehicles MAN, Scania, and Neoplan – at least the Ducati motor bikes which is also a VW company should be safe from concern.

But what of all the other motor manufacturers can we safely assume that no such scandal will be attached to their products or do we simply wait and watch – the current silence could be seen as just a little ominous.

With every passing day there seems to be a further commercial scandal – so who can we trust.

Here at GFD Group HQ we have little sympathy for VW they deliberately tried to hoodwink everyone and deserve whatever consequences come their way.

At GFD we are well aware that we are far from perfect but we do always attempt to trade in an honest and transparent manner – we never attempt to deliberately mislead or defraud our customers but we would be the first to admit that not every sale we undertake goes perfectly – thankfully the majority of them do as is illustrated by our excellent TRUST PILOT reviews here are a couple our customers have recently posted –

Efficient and speedy service.

From my first contact with the company, for a quote, the response and service was excellent. Time lines were kept to and I am delighted with the end result. My double doors look brilliant.

Great door and great service

I didn’t know what a composite door was before we replaced our front door, I am now almost an expert!! After lots of research timber composite doors were by far the cheapest supplier I could find. After ordering I expected that the service might not be up to much or various hidden costs might suddenly appear. However all we received was great service, a quick response after ordering, they kept to all the timings promised and delivered exactly what we had ordered. It was great service and a great product, we love our new door and have had lots of neighbours commenting on it. I would highly recommend!

It is always good to have our customers say nice things about us and it is certainly the way we set out to run our business but there will always be things that go wrong sometimes within our control and sometimes where we have very little influence – as all GFD Group companies are on line resellers of goods manufactured by others – although we constantly vet our suppliers we are reliant upon repeat quality of their goods. Similarly with installations, the preliminary visit pre manufacture by our surveyors to confirm all dimensions and any problematic fits normally catches any problems.

But things can go wrong in both product quality and installation which is why the whole of the GFD Group of companies Timber Composite Doors, Global Door, Fusion Door, Composite Door Prices and Global Sash Windows adopt a philosophy of not “walking away” from any project until the client is totally satisfied with both the quality of the product and the installation service.

We start this process with our web sites where we try to give as much information in a clear and concise manner in order to allow our customers to make informed decisions – we continue with our communications always endeavouring to keep customers informed of sale status, delivery and installation times etc .

All of the quality doors and windows we sell have an expected life span of 30 years plus which is why at GFD Group we are prepared to take a little more time to get everything right at the start of that journey even if it means we have to come back occasionally to put things right for the exceptional times when everything does not quite go as planned.

When doors turn out looking as good as this we think that extra bit of effort is well worth while.
