The sensational Solidor Stafford – if ever a door was designed to compliment pre war 1930 style properties it has to be the Stafford. A door that is so simple in form with two solid base panels and a full size glazed upper panel with a classic curved head – and yet so elegant in appearance, a door which could have been engineered specifically for the leafy Boulevards, Avenues and Drives of suburban England. The single glazed panel with stylish single arch requires glazing of the highest quality to show this door style at its very best and our selection of leaded, obscure and coloured glazing options that range from the ever so simple but effective “Britannia Arch” to the complex “Prairie” suit perfectly, the one thing all of our glazing options have in common is that they are all a perfect match for this most sophisticated of doors.
This is a door that travels well wherever there are 1930 style properties you will find the Stafford, it has proved extremely popular on properties with open brick porches where curved brick arches form a feature and this can only be because of the sympathetic symmetry of door head and brick arch. This is a style of door which can benefit from choosing a door and frame of matching colour, a particularly good example being when a wood grain such as Irish Oak is selected. When it comes to customer choice there is however nothing to match the “Stafford 1 Elegance” – white frame – blue door – Royale leaded / obscure glazing and our simple no fuss chrome handle/ lock and letter plate which all come together to create a stunning door worthy of r any property. The Stafford because it lets so much light to transfer to the inside of the property has also been selected as a rear door by a number of our customers.
The Solidor Stafford – a door designed for period properties and suburban living and so versatile that it can be used for either front or rear doors to any property. see more in our gallery
